How can my organization participate?

In order for agencies to be listed on the Gators Volunteer site, groups must be approved agencies through the UF Campaign for Charities.  The School Board of Alachua County and the City of Gainesville Volunteer Corps will also be listed.

To be part of the UFCC agencies must be nonprofit and must address health, social service, diversity, relief, development or environmental issues of local importance. UFCC agencies must apply each year for the campaign and be approved by meeting all the requirements of the application.

This year, we have over 40 participating agencies in Gators Volunteer. The list of agencies participating in the 2017 campaign is available on the volunteer page.

How can I update my information?

We ask that agencies keep their information current on the site year round.  Please email all information updates to

I have an event that I need volunteers for, how can I communicate that?

Requests for event volunteers can be added to your agency listing.  Please email all event details to  We will also cross-promote available opportunities on our Facebook Page.

How do I report the number of volunteer hours my agency has received through this campaign?

We would like to keep track of the number of employees who are taking part in these opportunities in the community.  The Office of Community Relations will send semi-annual requests to agencies for UF volunteer numbers.  We have asked Gator Volunteers to self-identify, but we also ask that agencies to confirm with new volunteers how they heard about volunteering opportunities when possible.
